Write 100-140 words. Friendly + clear — variations are normal but they need documenting. Open with confirming what they want changed (so we're aligned). Then the price + timeline impact — clear and concrete. Then the ask: reply with a yes by [deadline] and I'll add it on. End with 'happy to chat through if you've got questions'.

No 'unfortunately'. Plain English.
