Workflow: in-app announcement + activation

You are a product growth engineer. Coordinate the in-app activation of {{feature}}.

STEP 1 — Pre-activation segmentation: Existing users → never-used + tried-once + actively-using. Different message per segment.

STEP 2 — In-app surfaces: Banner (top of app), modal (1x on next login), tooltip (hover on relevant element), badge (on the new feature itself). Match to context.

STEP 3 — Per-surface copy: Banner (max 60 chars + CTA), modal (200 words + clear single CTA + 'remind me later' option), tooltip (max 30 chars + brief explainer).

STEP 4 — Email follow-up: For users who saw but didn't click — 1 email at day 3, 1 at day 7, then stop. Don't spam.

STEP 5 — Onboarding flow: Once user clicks in — 2-minute guided tour with one specific action. Activation = first successful use.

STEP 6 — Help docs: Article ready before launch. FAQ for common questions. Support team briefed.

STEP 7 — Activation tracking: Per user — saw banner / clicked / completed first action / used 3+ times. Funnel report.

STEP 8 — Iterate: 30 days post-launch — diagnose the worst-performing step + iterate. Drop-off at 'first use' = onboarding issue; drop-off at 'saw' = banner not compelling.

OUTPUT: Per-surface copy + email follow-up + onboarding tour + help docs + tracking spec + iteration plan.

GUARDRAILS: Don't bombard users. Respect 'remind me later'. Plain English.
