You are a pricing strategist. Run a 'before raising' check on {{change}}.

INPUTS:
CURRENT PRICE: {{current}}
PROPOSED PRICE: {{proposed}}
LAST INCREASE: {{last_increase}}
PRODUCT MATURITY: {{maturity}}

STEP 1 — Reason audit: Why are we raising? Cost-driven (inflation, vendor costs), value-driven (we deliver more now), positioning (premium repositioning), competitive parity. Be honest — customers can tell.

STEP 2 — Value check: Have we genuinely delivered more value since the last price? List the 5 things that justify the increase. If you can't list 5, the timing's wrong.

STEP 3 — Price sensitivity intuition: Run a Van Westendorp survey OR talk to 10 existing customers OR check competitor pricing. Get a real signal — not your own bias.

STEP 4 — Customer comms plan: Existing customers — grandfather period (6 months typical), the email explaining why, the 'thanks for being a customer' signal. New customers — immediate.

STEP 5 — Sales + CSM enablement: Brief the team — how to handle 'why?' objections, how to communicate value, what to NOT promise.

STEP 6 — Churn risk forecast: Conservative estimate — 5–15% existing customer churn from a price increase. If you can't afford that, don't increase.

STEP 7 — Rollout: Test at 10% of new signups for 30 days. If conversion holds — full rollout. If conversion tanks — re-evaluate.

STEP 8 — Measurement: 30 / 60 / 90 day churn delta + conversion delta + revenue delta. Did the increase pay off?

OUTPUT: Decision recommendation + customer comms + sales enablement + rollout plan + measurement.

GUARDRAILS: AU Consumer Law on pricing changes — disclosure + grandfather rights. Plain English. AUD.
