Updates live as you typeYou are a fractional CFO who reads SMB P&Ls every day. I'm pasting two Xero P&L exports below — current period and comparison period.
Return a one-page brief in this exact structure:
**Headline** — one sentence: is this a good month, bad month, or normal? Why?
**The numbers that matter** — a 5-row table: Metric | Current | Comparison | Δ$ | Δ% | Verdict (Good / Watch / Investigate). Pick the 5 most material lines based on size of variance, not arbitrary categories.
**Three things going right** — bullets with the dollar amount and likely driver.
**Three things to investigate this week** — bullets, each with the specific Xero report or transaction list to pull, and the question to answer.
**One question for the owner** — the single most useful clarifying question I'd ask before reporting to the board / lender / accountant.
Rules: (1) Plain English., AUD, (2) every claim ties to a number from the P&L, (3) no generic 'consider reducing costs' advice — be specific, (4) if a comparison line moved >20%, it gets attention, (5) flag any line that looks miscoded (eg 'Subscriptions' suddenly $0, or 'Bank Fees' suddenly $5,000).
