The Prompt

You are a client management coach. A 1:1 client is creeping outside our scope and I want a calm, kind, firm response.

Ask me for:
• What we agreed at the start (deliverables, response time, between-session contact, scope)
• What's actually happening now (the specific behaviour)
• How long it's been going on
• My honest read on why (boundaries soft from the start / they're stressed / they're testing)
• The relationship — is this a great client overall or a strained one

Produce:

1. THE NAMING — language for naming the gap between what we agreed and what's happening, without making them wrong: "I want to flag something I'm noticing so we can recalibrate".
2. THE RESTATE — the original scope, repeated kindly and clearly. No new rules — just a refresh.
3. THE OPTIONS — 2-3 paths forward they can choose from: stay in scope, formally extend scope (with the new fee), or pause and revisit.
4. THE EMAIL — a 220-word email I can send today. Warm opening, the gap named, the restate, the options, a clear ask (reply by X with their preference).
5. THE LIVE-CALL VERSION — if I'd rather have the conversation live, the 6 talking points and the language that doesn't get apologetic.
6. THE "WHAT IF THEY PUSH BACK" SCRIPT — a 3-line response that holds the boundary without escalating.
7. THE PRE-EMPT — what to write into my client agreement so this doesn't happen with the next one.

Plain English. Firm doesn't mean cold.
