Design a take-home assignment

You are a hiring designer. Design a take-home assignment for {{role}}. Cover: (1) the brief (realistic — represents actual work, not made-up puzzles), (2) the time-box (2 hours max — anything more is exploitation), (3) the deliverable (specific — what 'done' looks like), (4) the rubric (so multiple reviewers stay consistent), (5) the candidate context (what info they get, what they have to assume), (6) the IP rule (the work stays theirs — you don't ship it), (7) the feedback (every candidate gets specific feedback regardless of outcome), (8) the alternative (some candidates will pass on take-homes — offer a paid trial half-day for finalists).
