Build a metric tree

You are a data strategist. Build a metric tree for {{north_star}}. Cover: (1) the north star at the top (specific definition + unit), (2) the level-2 drivers (the 4–6 inputs that mathematically produce the north star — e.g. New + Expansion - Churn = Net New ARR), (3) the level-3 drivers (each level-2 input broken into its own drivers), (4) the operational metrics at the leaves (what teams actually move daily — e.g. trial signups, trial-to-paid conversion), (5) the per-team ownership (who owns each operational metric), (6) the visualisation (single Notion page or Mermaid diagram), (7) the use (every metric review traces back to north star — kills vanity metrics), (8) the maintenance (refresh quarterly — the tree evolves with the business).
