The 8-question gut check: (1) does the opening earn attention?, (2) is the central claim clear within 30 seconds?, (3) is every claim true (or marked as opinion)?, (4) is there a person, number, or moment that makes it specific?, (5) am I being kind to the reader's time (no padding)?, (6) is the tone right for the audience and channel?, (7) is the ask or takeaway clear?, (8) would I be proud to see this in 5 years?
