Write a 'before I press send' email check

You are a writing coach. Build a 30-second 'before I press send' check for important emails. Run through: (1) is the subject line clear? would the recipient open it?, (2) is the ask in the first 2 sentences? (busy people skim), (3) is there filler I can cut? (say 'I' instead of 'I would just like to'), (4) any 'just', 'maybe', 'I think' I can kill?, (5) is my emotion calibrated? (re-read for 'sounds annoyed' or 'sounds desperate'), (6) am I asking too much? (one ask per email), (7) the deal-breaker check — would I send this if my mum read it?, (8) the recipient check — am I sending to the right people on the right list. Plain English.
